Under the direction of the Vice Chancellor of UET Mardan, the Director of Clubs and Societies organized an event titled 'Youm-e-Istehsaal Kashmir' to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and protest against the Indian government's actions. The event featured a walk with participation from the university's Registrar, Prof. Dr. Ibrar Ali Shah, Chairman of the Computer Science Department, Dr. Muhammad Usman, Director of Clubs and Societies, faculty members, and students. During the event, a minute of silence was observed, and prayers were offered for the victims and their families. The event highlighted the ongoing Kashmir issue and condemned the reported atrocities committed by Indian forces in the region, emphasizing the importance of international attention and intervention. On August 5, 2019, the Government of India revoked Article 370, which granted special autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir, marking a significant shift in the region's political status.
