Day 1 of the National Outreach Program for Faculty at UET Mardan marked an impactful beginning to what promises to be a transformative journey in academic development and professional excellence.

This 20-day training program, running from April 24 to May 20, 2025, brings together 30 faculty participants from various departments of UET Mardan. Over the course of the program, participants will engage with 9 comprehensive modules designed to enhance teaching effectiveness, research skills, and academic leadership.

The opening ceremony was held in the morning, graced by the presence of Dr. Ibrar Ali Shah, Chairman of the Department of Computer Software Engineering, UET Mardan, as the Chief Guest. The event also welcomed representatives from NAHE-HEC and university leadership, who together unveiled the structure, objectives, and vision behind this prestigious faculty development initiative. The ceremony formally welcomed the selected faculty members.

After the Inauguration, participants dove straight into the first module titled "Teaching as a Profession in Higher Education", delivered by Dr. Tajjudin Sharar, Assistant Professor and Provost at the University of Chitral. Dr. Sharar led an engaging session that explored the philosophical and ethical foundations of teaching, the challenges educators face in maintaining professional excellence, and strategies for balancing teaching, research, and administrative roles. Real-life case studies enriched the discussion, sparking deep reflection among participants.

With a strong blend of ceremonial inspiration and academic depth, Day 1 has set the tone for a dynamic and engaging faculty development journey. The energy, collaboration, and sense of purpose among participants were truly inspiring.
