- The applicant must have earned CGPA of at least 2.00 (on a scale of 4.00) or 60% marks where CGPA is not applicable for admission in MSc. Programs. Similarly, for admission in Ph.D. programs, CGPA of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 or 3.75 out of 5.00 in the semester system or 1st division in the annual system, is required. The percentage will be only valid if the CGPA is not mentioned in the degree/transcript.
- Score of at least 50% marks in GRE/GAT [General] Test for MSc. Programs and the score of at least 60% marks in the GRE/GAT (Subject) Test for Ph.D. Programs are required.
- For admission in MSc. Computer Software Engineering, BS/BSc. Computer Software Engineering/ BS (CS) 16 years of education or MCS or M.Sc. Computer Science or Sixteen years’ education in the relevant engineering program.
- For admission to MSc. Electrical Engineering, Bachelor’s Degree (16 years of education) in a relevant discipline. i.e., B.Sc./BS/BE in Electrical, Electronics, and Telecommunication. For admission to MSc. Telecommunication Engineering, Bachelor's Degree (16 years of education) in a relevant discipline (i.e. BSc. in Telecommunication or BS Telecommunication or BSc in Electrical, Electronics, Avionics, Computer/Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent)
- For admission in MS Mathematics Candidates must have completed a 4-year BS (Mathematics) or M.A/MSc in Mathematics (16 years) of education with at least 2nd Division or equivalent grade.
- For admission to Ph.D. Computer Software Engineering, Masters/M.Phil/ equivalent degree (18 years of education) in the related field.
- For admission in MS Computer Science, BS/BSc. Computer Software Engineering/ BS (CS) 16 years of education or MCS or M.Sc. Computer Science or Sixteen years’ education in relevant engineering program.
- For admission in PhD. Computer Software Engineering, Masters/M.Phil/ equivalent degree (18 years of education) in the related field.
- For admission into the Ph.D. Electrical Engineering program, a Master’s/M.Phil Degree (18 years of Education) in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.
- For admission in Ph.D. Telecommunication Engineering, Master's/M.Phil degrees (18 Years of Education in Telecommunication /Electrical /Electronics/ /Avionics /Computer/Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent.
- Students who are awaiting their BSc. and MSc Degrees and have completed other requirements of the respective degrees can provisionally apply for admission to the Postgraduate Programs of UET Mardan. They will be offered provisional admission if they qualify for the test. However, for confirmation of admission, they will have to provide attested degrees and transcripts, etc. within 15 days after the commencement of classes.
- All the Engineering programs must be accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council and recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
- Candidates already having a valid GRE/GAT (General) or HAT Test Score are eligible to apply for admission in MSc, MS and Ph.D. Programs.
