A total of 72 students of different departments of the University of Engineering & Technology Mardan received ‘Dean’s Honor List Award' on December 6, 2022 for their outstanding academic results for the year 2021-2022 at Seminar Hall, New Academic Block, UET Mardan.
General(R) Ehsan Ul Haq, Former Chairman (2004-2007) Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Pakistan graced the event as Chief Guest of Honor. His four decades of Military Service included assignments as the Director General Inter-Services Intelligence, Director General Military Intelligence and the Corps Commander in Peshawar, which was responsible for security in the Tribal Areas of Pakistan.
Prof. Dr. Shahid Khattak in his welcoming speech welcomed and thanked the Chief Guest, General(R) Ehsan Ul Haq, Former Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan for visiting a UET Mardan. Professor Dr. Shahid Khattak, Vice Chancellor, UET Mardan, Prof. Dr. Imran Khan, Dean Faculty of Engineering & Computing, distributed certificates among the awardees.
The 72 students of different departments have received the award in different semesters. Among them, 9 from Department of Computer Science while 23 from Department of Computer Software Engineering, 20 from Department of Electrical Engineering, 11 from Department of Telecommunication Engineering, 5 from Department of Civil Engineering, 4 from Department of Mechanical Engineering.
General (R) Ehsan ul Haq, Former Chairman, Joint Chiefs Staff Committee of Pakistan distributed the certificates among the awardees and addressed the students of UET Mardan, wherein he highlighted the importance of education in Pakistan and nurturing the young Engineers’ minds in terms of quality education and character building. He appreciated the UET Mardan’s progress in academics and infrastructure under the leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shahid Khattak.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Shahid Khattak, VC UET Mardan thanked General (R) Ehsan Ul Haq, Former Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and presented a souvenir as a token of appreciation.
