A three-day extensive training workshop was organized by the Germany-based firm ETS Didactic GmbH at the University of Engineering and Technology, Mardan that started on Tuesday, Oct 11, 2022. Klaus Hohl arranged the training, Project Manager ETS and Rüdiger Knorr, Product Manager ETS upon establishing two state-of-the-art laboratories at the Electrical Engineering Department, UET Mardan. These laboratories include Control Systems and Feedback Lab and Advance Microcontroller Lab.

Lecturers, Lab Engineers and Lab Instructors from various allied departments also attended the training and added advanced skills to the arsenal of their professional knowledge. Engr. Shagufta Naz, Engr. Muhammad Ishaq, Dr. Sahib Khan, Dr. Latif Ullah Khan, Engr. Jawad Ali, Engr. Dr. Irfan Khan, Dr. Salman Khan, Engr. Dr. Haseeb Ahmad Khan, Engr. Nasir Iqbal, Engr. Salman Saleem, Engr. Syed Abuzar Bacha, Engr. Hassan Waseem, Mr. Muhammad Islam, Mr. Saeed, Mr. Imran Khan and Mr. Zahid attended the extensive training and hands-on experience based workshop.

At the end of this technical expedition, the efforts were acknowledged by the Honorable Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Computing, Chairman Electrical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr Imran Khan by highly appreciating words and congratulating the participants on successfully completing the training session and workshop. After distributing certificates amongst the participants of the training, Dr Imran Khan said that such activities would not only develop the skills of the faculty and lab staff but also these activities provide an opportunity for students to get direct exposure and a teaching experience of technically advanced countries like Germany's foreign trainers and equipment.

The project manager Klaus Hohl expressed his gratitude and further mentioned that UET Mardan is more like his second home for being known to its faculty from past 3 years. The certificate distribution ceremony ended with a photo session in front of the Electrical Engineering Department.
