The 1st Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) meeting of the Department of Mechanical Engineering
The 1st Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) meeting of the Department of Mechanical Engineering was held on 10th June 2022. Dr. Shah Riaz, the in-charge Department of Mechanical Engineering chaired the meeting which was attended by the internal members of the department including Dr. Asad Ullah (Assistant Professor, Deptt. of Mechanical Engineering, UET Mardan), Engr. Afnan Haider Khan (Lecturer, Deptt. of Mechanical Engineering, UET Mardan), Engr. Abdul Samad Saleem (Lecturer, Deptt. of Mechanical Engineering, UET Mardan), and Engr. Abdul Hameed Khan (Career Liaison Officer, Deptt. of Mechanical Engineering, UET Mardan). From academia, experts include; Dr. Taqi Ahmad Cheema (Associate Professor, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, GIKI Topi), Dr. Shaukat Ali Shah (Associate Professor, Deptt. of Mechanical Engineering, UET Peshawar). Members from the industry include Engr. Muhammad Zia (Deputy Manager, Design Department, Heavy Mechanical Complex, Taxila), Engr. M. Nouman (Resident Engineer, Gomal Zam hydel power station, D.I. Khan, Pakistan), Engr. Waheed Tahir (Production Lead, Waves Singer Pakistan Limited) and Engr. Sohail Ayoub (Assistant Manager Training and Development, TUSDEC, Pakistan). After a detailed discussion, the Industrial Advisory Board unanimously approved the proposed scheme of studies for the B.Sc. program of the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the session Fall-2022 and onwards.
