Tree Plantation Drive
As ever, at the start of the spring season, the famous Tree Plantation drive was held on February 10, 2022, at the University of Engineering & Technology, Mardan. The awareness and tree plantation drive starts today with a cognizance speech on the benefit of greenery and forestation. The main purpose of this event is to keep the environment free from pollution by planting more and more trees. The activity included awareness speech, awareness-walk, and tree plantation.
As it is said “If you cut a tree, you kill a life. If you save a tree, you save a life. If you plant a tree, you plant a life,” the tree plantation activity is a part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Vision of 10 Billion Tree forestation in Pakistan. Clarifying that UET Mardan has been carrying out such environment-friendly activities for many years in the past and its Environment, Health, and Safety Committee (EHS) is adding its part in making UET Mardan and District Mardan a nature-friendly place.
In the supervision of university administration along with Dr. Imran Khan, Dr. Sadiq Ullah, Dr. Syed Ibrar Ali Shah, Dr. M. Usman, Dr. M Alam, Dr. Asad Ullah, Engr. Jawad Ali, Babar Siddiqui, Engr. Wasi ur Rahman, Student society head, all batches students planted with zeal. The chief guest, Dr. Shahid Khattak, Vice-Chancellor University of Engineering and Technology, Mardan enlightened the gathering with the importance of greenery and promised to arrange more such activities in near future.
