UET Mardan

UET Mardan is known for its diverse academics and co-curricular activities. Keeping its ligancy, the University kicked off its first annual Final year project exhibition and competition. The event, in itself, was a challenging day for the final year project exhibitors as the institute encouraged the participants by proposing cash prizes. Guests from academia, industry and research community were called to witness this event. The event was held on June 20, 2019 at University of Engineering and Technology Mardan. The event exhibited the talent house of UETM through their projects, novelty, and ideas. The visitors who graced the occasion not only applauded the efforts but also liked the opportunity given to the idea creators of the projects and the contributors. Moreover, total of sixty projects were showcased in the stalls and 160 participants participated. Many people from the industry and academia were drawn to the attraction of the showcasing and visited the stalls. Besides, each project was then evaluated based on the criteria of productivity, novelty, and technicality. For the process of evaluation, there were two judges from each department, who then selected the best thinkers out of all the sixty projects on standard criteria. Later on, the winners were announced and awarded the cash prizes of Rupees 30,000/- , and they were also appreciated with shields. The Dean, University of Engineering and Technology Mardan, Professor Dr. Sadaqat Jan, appreciated the efforts of the organizers and explained the essence of the event by motivating the guests, alumni, participant and the university faculty.   Esteemed giants of the Industry and Academia graced the event and added vigour to the occasion. The guests were received by the honourable Vice Chancellor of UET, Mardan and his team of higher officials. Furthermore, the guests were welcomed with a warm note of appreciation from the VC and ORIC, UET Mardan. The names of the guests and judges are mentioned below:

The programme on the whole, was very well coordinated and was an amalgamation of teamwork, leadership, organisation, and endeavours. It not only reflected the competency, but also other qualities that an Engineer must have for his/her lifelong learning. In Short, The scope of the exhibition was to make touch with the industry and the market and to contribute to the societal and environmental challenges. Moreover, the models presented during exhibition were all environmentally useful and promised sustainability.
