Workshop on emerging technologies and career planning
One day workshop in emerging technologies and career planning was held on March 10, 2020, in the Seminar Hall, UET Mardan. Mr. Hassan Syed presented the primary objective of the workshop on “technologies, disrupting our future”.
Hassan Syed is the CEO of Bir Ventures USA, founder of IdeaGist, founding director of Minnesota Innovates, and a founding director of the Institute for Innovators and Entrepreneurs at Hamline University Minnesota. He is also the advisor to the Minister of Science and Technology Pakistan on Knowledge Economy and Focal Person on Emerging Technologies and Innovation. He is also part of the national committee on Emerging Technologies under the Digital Pakistan initiative. His story was recently published by Green Card Voices in their book Green Card Entrepreneurs. Hassan was recently recognized by Pollen and AARP MN as one of the 50 most inspiring and accomplished leaders across Minnesota.
An over view on emerging technologies that includes 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Blockchain, Internet of Things, Intelligent Vehicles and Smart Robots was given in this workshop with the practical realizable applications of aforementioned in current era and near future.
Dr. Sadiq Ullah, Dr. Muhammad Usman, Dr. Naveed Mufti, Dr. Muhammad Usman, Dr. Sohail, Dr. Shams ur Rehman, Engr. Muhammad Ishaq, Dr. Gulrukh, Engr. Sadia Jabeen, Engr. Jawad Ali, Engr. Faisal Ibrar, Engr. Faheem, students from various department participated in this workshop and gained basic knowledge about emerging disrupting technologies.
The trainer also discussed Technology Convergence, Dying and radically transformed careers and had a well-established discussion with the attendees on how can and should we do today to get ready for the jobs of the future.
