Startup Grind, in partnership with Google for Startups, is the world’s largest independent startup community-actively educating, inspiring, and connecting entrepreneurs throughout the globe. Upon invitation by Startup Grind to participate in the Startup Grind Pakistan Conference 2019, facilitated by Codematics, ORIC Office requested the departments for nominations of faculty members and senior students from the departments for participation in the event.
The conference was held on 5 November 2019, at Pakistan National Council of Arts, Islamabad, from 9 am to 6 pm. The university arranged transport to and from training venue. The contingent from UET Mardan, under the leadership of Dr. Naveed Mufti-Director ORIC, and consisting of almost 39 senior undergraduate students, 4 postgraduate students and 4 faculty members, attended the conference.
At the time of leaving, necessary checklist was shared with the participants, undertaking was signed by the students and attendance was recorded by the faculty members of respective departments. Upon entering Islamabad, the team leader conveyed necessary instructions regarding effective participation in the event.
During the event, the contingent interacted with different panelists, aspiring entrepreneurs and established entrepreneurs, as well as facilitators and venture capitalists. While returning, Director ORIC sought feedback from the participants about their understanding and insight resulting from the event and clarified and discussed a few salient points.
