    •    Working as a lecturer and OBE Coordinator in Electrical Department UET Mardan.
    •    Have worked as a Research Associate in the following R&D based projects.

    Title: Electrocure Governance Tool for Electricity Data Management:
    The project is based on the design and implementation of a system proposing solution to the electricity theft detection and prevention, automatic billing, loss calculation and control and data acquisition, inspired by the architecture of “Smart Grid”. As Embedded systems developer, my job tasks involve hardware implementation of Electrocure box which consists of pic32 microcontroller (PIC32MX570F512L) interfaced with various sensors e.g. Current Transformers (CTs) and controlling the data arriving to and fro the online server trough GPRS.

    Title: Intelligent System Design/Implementation of Real Time framework for Detection of Gas/Oil Leakage and Theft using Wireless Sensor Networks:
    The research project aims to implement a smart metering system capable of automatic gas billing, theft detection and control without the intervention by end user. As a Research Associate, I worked as a team lead in implementing hardware infrastructure of smart gas modules based of pic32 microcontroller (PIC32MZ2048EFG100) and Arduino interfaced with various gas sensors e.g. ultrasonic gas flow sensors and piezoelectric insertion type sensors. The modules smartly communicate implementing machine to machine (M2M) communication using ZigBee protocol and also capable of internet communication using GPRS.
    •    Worked as a Research Assistant/ Lab Engineer in GIKI, Topi.

  • Memberships

    Have been involved in supervision of the following research projects in Renewable Energy, Digital Signal Processing, Control Systems, and Wireless Communications:
    Linear Quadratic Gaussian Controller for Continuously Stirred Tank Reactor
    The project involved design of a model based LQG controller for optimal performance of a Continuously Stirred Tank Reactor at various operating points in order to control concentration by measuring temperature of reactor as an output.
    Baseline Controller Design for NREL 5MW Wind Turbine to achieve Power Capture Optimization
    The main objective was to control a non-linear multi-megawatt wind turbine designed in FAST at various equilibrium points to achieve power optimization using combined gain scheduled PI based torque and pitch controllers.
    Gain Scheduled PID versus LQR Controllers for driving a Nonlinear CSTR System
    The performance of PID and LQR controllers was compared in control of a nonlinear CSTR where LQR provided significant benefits over conventional PID.
    Modelling and Simulation for Optimal Control of Inverted Double Pendulum Based on Matlab
    The mathematical model of double pendulum system is established and linearized.The system is made controllable by appropriate parameter selection and a PID controller is designed for its control.
    Automatic seat reservation using 8051 microcontroller (hardware) and simulated on Proteus
    Using 8051 Microcontroller an automatic seat reservation system is developed on hardware where seat of choice is selected by the user and the system design is verified as well using simulation tool Proteus.
    Filters Implementation using DSP Board (TMS320C6713 DSK)
    Finite Impulse Response (FIR) and Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) filters were implemented using DSP board Programming (TMS320C6713 DSK) with Code Composer Studio (CCS) as an IDE and the design is also simulated using FDA tool.
    Voice Recognition and Gender Identification using Signal Processing
    The project was based on development of a voice recognition system using correlation and noise removal techniques along with gender identification.
    Creating 1000 students based institute directory for basic information using Object Oriented Programming in C++.
    Using object oriented programming in C++ a student directory is designed with their information data so that any user can access the information of any student from the directory by specifying the roll number and name to the program.
    Creating 3D model of inner view of a machine using AutoCAD
    A 3D model along with the inner view of a given machine is developed using AUTOCAD.
    Creating and a webpage using HTML as programming language.
    Based on HTML programming a webpage is designed with along with interfacing tools with the author and inclusion of hyperlinks.
